Media
Here are some bookmarks I made for the Cheney Middle School Library. I used NoveList to find books similar to books loved by the students. I then checked the school library catalog to make sure they had them. I put them out this week with a display and the kids seem to be excited about it. Feel free to copy, many of these books would be fine for younger readers too.

Her notes:
-
Make sure to critique the artwork, 1-2 sentences being very descriptive (colors, pastels, vibrancy, effectiveness, energy, etc)
-
Include information on index or appendices, bold face, additional information given (i.e.-websites)
-
Include sizing (oversized, small, handsized) and price
-
Critique the book NOT JUST A BOOK REVIEW-what was good and/or bad (she really liked my Lynn Cheney review because it was more of a review versus a report-however I did not do enough on the illustrations)
-
Make sure each review is done on a half sheet
Here is the form for each review:

When writing a letter you need:
● an attention-getting opening that states the problem
● your key message and three key points that reinforce it
● statistics and examples—local/state/national—that illustrate your points
● a close that summarizes and reinforces your case.

Hello, I'm too early for my class, and too late to go to the bookstore:( so I thought I would fiddle with the new wiki. I thought since this class takes a bit more research we could set up a little resource page, when we find cool stuff. Help us to dedicate that hour a week we need.
See you soon

Hello, I have been thinking about our nine hours of practicum per week. I do not see how we can put in 9 hours unless we count reading and research. Although,I thought if we could attend author presentations, book signings and perhaps technology reviews it would be interesting plus enjoyable.
Amanda, I like your idea about the resource page on the wiki. Is it an hour a week or 90 hours over ten weeks?
Darlene Enjoy the sunshine everyone!

I like the idea of putting in resources as you find them with your own annotations.
Does the practicum class cover some of the same material as Admin? Is there away to help you in both?
